Professor Wu Chien-Ta Scholarship Guidelines

Article 1

In order to encourage students of our university to actively participate in sports, Professor Wu Chien-Ta has specially donated NT$210,000 as scholarship funds.

 

Article 2

This scholarship shall be named the “Professor Wu Chien-Ta Scholarship.” The fund, totaling NT$210,000, shall be deposited in a designated account set up by the university’s Accounting Office. The principal and accrued interest from the fixed deposit in a bank shall be used as the scholarship fund.

 

Article 3

This scholarship shall be awarded annually, starting from the first semester of the 2000 academic year (R.O.C. Year 89). One recipient shall be selected per year, and the amount awarded to each recipient shall be NT$10,000.

 

Article 4

Applicants must meet all of the following conditions to be eligible for this scholarship:

  1. Must be currently enrolled students in any department or program of the university.
     
  2. Must be enthusiastic about sports and represent the university in national sports competitions.
     
  3. Must have achieved an academic average of 80 or above, a conduct grade of “A,” and a physical education grade of 80 or above in the previous academic year.
     
  4. Must not be receiving government-funded tuition or any other scholarships or grants.

 

Article 5

Required documents:

  1. Application form
     
  2. Academic transcript from the previous academic year
     
  3. Two 2-inch half-length photos

 

Article 6

Applications must be submitted within 20 days after the midterm exams of the first semester each academic year.

 

Article 7

The review and granting of this scholarship shall be handled by the university’s Scholarship Review Committee.

 

Article 8

These guidelines shall be implemented upon approval by the Scholarship Review Committee and the Principal of the university. The same procedure shall apply to any amendments.
